Sweet Imperfections – Wings

Sweet Imperfections have dropped a new song, which is condensed with power and meaning.

I personally love a good song that possess a deep meaning and encourages positivity within the world.

“Wings” is one which sends out important messages about empowerment, unity and aspiration. This song screams at people to “spread their wings” and fly, a song about independence. The vocalist, Bri Schillings, is the perfect match for this song, as she holds such power in her voice. Listening to this song really does inspire you.

Sweet Imperfections are a soft-rock band, who have their own instrumental. The song is filled with a beautiful guitar, a piano and a lovely, soft drumbeat. A piano-based introduction to the song really engrosses us and has us utterly enchanted.

“Wings” is such a heartfelt, beautiful song that must be heard! If you haven’t already, go give Sweet Imperfections’ song a listen to (and there is even a little music video to go with it)!

Genevieve Sovereign – Vibration Angle

“Vibration angle” is a lovely, chilled dance-pop style of song, which Genevieve Sovereign teamed up with Ben Tenison to make.

First and foremost, the two vocals in this track are amazing and go so well together. Both of their voices are unique but so beautiful! The two singer-songwriters create incredible soundscapes.

Not only are the vocals good, but the music is also so groovy and the kind of the song to get up to dance to. It has elements of 80s disco but also an element of modernism in it too. Electronic songs seem to be rising through the charts at the moment, and this is definitely one to listen to!

If you have never heard Genevieve Sovereign, then this song should be at the top of the list. I cannot recommend this song enough, and I can assure you that you will enjoy it just as much as I did.

Zenodro – Who Ya Know

Zenodro’s newest release is one that needs to be heard by everyone!

“Who Ya know” has all the ingredients for the perfect recipe, it has amazing vocals, a catchy beat, good lyrics and interesting instrumentals.

Zenodro’s track is very modern, upbeat track that many youngsters these days would love. In that case, anybody who is fan of rap and hip-hop, then you must give this track a little listen to.

The vocals are quite extraordinary as the songster has a clear rap voice, however you can hear that his voice is one that is natural. The track has a catchy, strong bassline, that really motivates you to get your head bopping.

I personally had never heard any music by Zenodro, but I am definitely intrigued about what else he has to offer. If you are yet to have a listen to “Who Ya know” then have a quick listen to it and I can assure that you will not be disappointed!

Anthony Benjamin – Christmas Time Again

Who doesn’t love a good Christmas tune? The answer is no one and it is never too early for the Christmas music to come out!

This is one of those Christmas songs that make you reminisce all the great Christmases you experienced as a child and how they change as you grow up. Anthony sings about all things that are included with this time of year, like presents, the snow, and the excitement we all used to feel. The songster clearly misses these Christmases and hopes for a better one next year.

However, I must say, Anthony’s vocals are absolutely amazing and fit so well with this song. Although this song is a bit more sombre than others, it still is one that you can enjoy.

Included in the instrumentals of this song is bell like sounds, that really take you back to happy Christmases.

This is a song that you must have a listen to around Christmas, especially if you find yourself struggling at all.

Johanna Dadap – The World’s Gone Up In Smoke

Sometimes all we need is a nice, mellow tune that makes us relax and chill out. Johanna Dadap has created a song which is perfect for that vibe!

Johanna is a young artist with incredible vocals and other talents such as guitar, piano and ukulele playing. Her voice is soothing yet her emotions really shine through. The idea of her music is to get us to really feel how she feels.

Within this song, Johanna holds the talent of being the lead vocals, the backup vocals and the guitarist on an acoustic. The creates an almost consuming song that is beautiful and melodic.

The lyrics appear to be about the lack of appreciation and care the Earth gets, and that people won’t do anything about it until the world goes “up in smoke”. Global warming is a major issue in modern day society, and Johanna singing about it could hopefully raise more awareness of the issue before it is too late.

“The world’s gone up in smoke” is a track that needs to be heard by everybody, so please have a listen to it.

Betty Reed – Shallow End

Honestly, all I can say is wow! This song is just amazing!

Sometimes a slow, peaceful song is just what anyone wants to hear, and this song is beautiful. Betty’s vocals are fantastic, and her voice is full of emotion and beauty.

This song has very deep connotations, of the battle of depression, and how sometimes life can make you feel like you are drowning. This is an extremely personal topic of Betty’s, but it is an important one that many can unfortunately relate to. This is one of those songs that might make somebody see that they are not alone in their thoughts.

Although the music is more of a soft, stripped back one, the instrumental remains incredible. There is a quiet drum beat with an unusual, yet amazing guitarist. In the second half of the song, we are hit with a distorted guitar solo which sounds awesome. The use of distortion really adds to the way some mental illnesses make you see life differently and possibly more corrupt than others.

Please give Betty Reed’s new release a try and you will not be disappointed!

Reue – Always Late

Reue (pronounced roi-uh) and the Synthemesc have teamed up to create the masterpiece “Always late”.

I must say “Always late” is the ultimate rave song, and I honestly would love to hear this on a night out!

Reue himself is starting to rise through the charts with his techno/house tracks, as he seems to gain more and more listeners. “Always late’ being his newest release is definitely one that is going to go far. The song has all the right components for a great techno song.

This track is instrumental only, with no sight of lyrics anywhere. This has a great effect as we can take time to appreciate the booming bass and beats, rather than just the singer. This results in Reue’s work really getting noticed and valued.

After having a quick listen to other work by the artist, I am eager to hear other work of his to come out. If you are a real-raver then this is undoubtedly the song for you!

Joshua Martin – High Go Down

If you are into that futuristic, synth pop style of music, then I highly recommend Joshua Martin’s “High go down”.

“High go down” is an 80s inspired hit that uses electronic, dance sounds to create this piece. The entire song is incredibly catchy and is the kind of song that make you want to get on your feet and dance to. Although it may seem a bit unusual at the start due to the futuristic elements and synthesizers, you are extremely likely to love it as it is so catchy.

Joshua Martin’s music is the kind that I would love to hear in a nightclub whilst partying with your friends, as it is just an uplifting, memorable song.

If you have never heard any of Joshua Martin’s work, then please have a little look below at his work. I personally am intrigued to see what other pieces Martin has created.

Proklaim – Options

WOW!

This is hands down one of the best rap songs I have heard!

Proklaim being a rap, hip-hop artist has used his skill to incorporate elements of the reggae style within his song. This song is jam packed with amazing beats, a bouncy bass, and unreal vocals. This all leads to positive vibes, where you will find yourself dancing along to the track.

I cannot find a single fault of the vocals, all the rap and singing are honestly mind blowing. Proklaim raps amazingly and his presentation is outstanding, Proklaim ensures his work moves forward as time does, therefore we are always left with a present-day style song.

I personally love a good hip-hop track that releases good energy, and this track does exactly that. If you are as much as a lover of hip-hop, rap and good music as I am, then “options” should definitely be added to your playlists! I am curiously looking forward to hear further music by Proklaim.

iHATEJON – Bounce It

iHATEJON is a hip-hop artist, who clearly takes inspiration from artists such as Mac Miller and Lil Peep. iHATEJON released his new single “Bounce it” last week and this is not one to miss.

As a major fan of hip-hop and rap, this song jumped out at me as soon as I heard it. The track is chilled but also has interesting beat to it. iHATEJON also includes different beats than what usual hip-hop artists do, as he tris to take on the more alternative style of hip-hop.

“Bounce it” has the perfect mixture of rapping, spoken words and singing. The effect of all of these means that the song remains interesting and upbeat. The song additionally ends with a nice instrumental, that leaves you bopping your head, wondering what else iHATEJON has in store for us.

Go ahead and give “Bounce it” a listen to and if you are a fan of hip-hop, you will 100% enjoy this song.
