Rose Spearman – Who We Be

The Dutch/American singer-songwriter is back again with her new track, which dropped on 07/10/2022. Rose is very well known to sing about her own family issues, and things that she has experienced in her life. She has also found herself winning the European Borders Breakers Award and creating her own international music company, M.A.R.S. Label Group.

“Who We Be” is the perfect soft pop-rock hit, and I personally am so pleasantly surprised with this one! This track is undoubtedly a song of nostalgia and conflict. Spearman has previously mentioned that this song is about “being caught between white and black roots and between the USA and Europe.”

The song has great groovy sound to it, with a beat that will stay in your head all day. The band sound is an excellent choice for this, as we feel a sense of realism.

Ultimately, it is clear that Rose Spearman’s voice is exceptional, full of beautiful harmonies. Her voice is so strong, and she definitely deserves recognition for her talents!

If you are yet to hear music from Rose, “Who We Be” should unquestionably be at the top of the list.

Romain Gusty – If You Don’t Mind

Sometimes it is nice to review a track that is slightly different from my usual taste, and this new track has given me the chance to do so.

Romain Gusty, a French born and raised singer-songwriter, has made his return after almost 20 years. Romain begun his musical career in the 90s with his band work, but he returned in 2020 as a solo artist! He has really started to show his talent, and his newest release “If You Don’t Mind” is fantastic!

Romain has collaborated with Marc Bentel to create this country, folk track. This tune is a joyful, eccentric one that persuades you to dance. Romain’s music is very unique with his own sound, which does not stop surprising you. Not only does this song possess elements of country and folk, but there are also features of jazz music. The inclusion of trumpets adds to this jazz-like sound.

The vocals in “If You Don’t Mind” have that country like tone, which I find quite interesting and find myself enjoying very much. The track is quite rebellious in its lyrics, as he sings about sex, drugs, and politics.

If you find yourself a fan of this kind of music, then be sure to give Romain Gutsy a listen to!

Electric Sol – Looking For Love

Originating from the Sonoran Desert, this indie pop/dance group are rising through the music industry with their new take on music! As a 5-person band, every aspect is covered, and their music is just incredible. They created their music to encourage people onto the dance floor, and to meet new people.

As soon as I heard their latest release “Looking For Love” I thought, yes this is the one! I was so unexpectedly thrilled with this tune, and I cannot find a single fault in it.

The song is definitely one that gets you up and going, filled with good vibes and love. The beat is catchy and is the kind of song I would love to hear in a nightclub.

Edward Sweet, the usual lead vocalist of the group, does exceptionally well in this track. Although the vocals are kept to a minimum with its simplistic sound, they are extremely effective, and really keep us engrossed within the song. Additionally, we also have Lindsey Blair with her amazing backup vocals towards the end, which are just as unreal!

The lyrics are all literally about “Looking For Love,” as he feels ready to take that step in his life and this is a topic many can relate to.

Anyway, give Electric Sol’s new track a listen to, and you will definitely not regret it!

Jen Ash – No Lover Lover

After previously hearing other hits of Jen Ash, when this was come along, I must say I was over the moon!

Jen, who has lived her life in France, uses her personal experiences to create her music. This results in very important messages being sent with the words that she sings. Jen is heavily influenced by 90s R&B, French and Latin Music.

In “No Lover Lover” is an amazingly crafted track, where Jen sings about a previous toxic relationship. Sometimes toxic relationships are hard to overcome, especially when you do not even realise that you are in one, and she loves to sing about it as it is such an important topic! These break ups usually come with a wave of relief, and you come out of it stronger than ever, and that is exactly what “No Lover Lover” is about.

The music in this track is very relaxed, yet powerful. The backbeat remains catchy, releasing a sense of strength. The main focus in this track has got be Jen’s outstanding vocals. Her soft, R&B sounding voice is perfect for this track, and as soon as you hear her voice, it will melt you!

I cannot recommend this track enough, and I can promise you will fall in love with it just as much I did!

Munk Duane – Just A Word

Munk Duane has arrived again and dropped another hit, “Just A Word.” Munk creates music which is derived from the late 60s and early 70s soul and pop, taking inspiration from artists such as Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Munk, who is from Boston, labels himself as a recording artist, producer and film composer and he has even won the New England Music Award twice!

Anyway, his newest release “Just A Word” is undoubtedly a good one! The most noticeable feature of this track has got be the opening bassline, which immediately captivates us. As soon as the drums kick in, we get that groovy energy. Then the guitar immediately creates further funkiness, and together, they have created an unreal sounding backing track!

From the moment Munk’s vocals are introduced, I was fascinated with his voice! He includes the use of melodies and harmonies to ensure his voice reaches its full potential! I personally love Munk’s voice and its rawness.

This track has to be one of the best R&B tracks that incorporates funk and soul. I am intrigued to see what other tracks Munk Duane has in store for us! This is the perfect track, and you will unquestionably be mesmerised by it.

Bloodlin3 – Panic Attack

After previously hearing other work of Bloodlin3, when I stumbled across “Panic Attack” I was thrilled to hear more of them! Bloodlin3 are a musical group, that are situated in Texas, who heavily focus their music on rap and hip-hop.

Bloodlin3’s most recent hit is here and this time they have collaborated with Young Collage to produce this piece. The song begins with a spoken word introduction about the artists, which straight away builds up excitement for the rest of the song.

“Panic Attack” is another one of those insanely captivating and catchy tracks, with a great beat. The beat is very laidback in comparison to the vocals, as they rap extremely well, really sharing their talents.

The two rap stars collaborate and blend their personal styles together exceptionally well, and I honestly cannot find a single fault in their work.

Without a doubt, Bloodlin3’s new release is their best track yet, and I am so excited to hear what other rap tracks they have in store for us!

If you are in the mood for a relaxed yet outstanding song, then go ahead and give “Panic Attack” a listen to!

Bloodlin3 – Execution Day

Bloodlin3 are a Texas based musical group, who are experimenting with rap and other genres of music. Bloodlin3 takes inspiration from artists like Eminem and are honestly smashing it!

“Execution Day,” released on 30/09/2022, is a hard trap song that Bloodlin3 teamed up with Bizzy Bone and AC Killer to create.

This kind of rap/hip-hop is not generally my cup of tea, but once I had one listen to Bloodlin3’s track, I was addicted!

Without a doubt, the rapping in this is absolutely incredible, and they all perform it so effortlessly. Rapping itself is very difficult compared to normal singing, as it includes more breath control, but these guys have hit the nail on the head with it!

The backbeat in this is kept to a minimum, leaving the vocals to be the spotlight of the song, yet it is still effective. The beat is catchy and is the kind that gets you bopping your head to.

If rap style songs are your area of expertise, then undoubtedly you should give “Execution Day” a listen to, and I know you will love it for sure!

Eric Cohen – A.M.E.N

Eric Cohen, who is from Missouri, US, takes inspiration from his own life experiences and uses them to deliver a message of hope and peace. Eric has had a difficult upbringing, where he has dealt with poverty, addiction, and despair. After a tough time, he found that poetry and music was the light at the end of the tunnel for him. From this point on, music has helped him pave his way through life, whilst in the eyes of God.

“A.M.E.N” contains the elements of a classic hip-hop hit. The beat and booming bassline give the song a feeling of power and it captivates us with it’s catchiness. The unusual keys give the track a sense of unfamiliarity that we want to explore.

I must say Eric’s vocals are great, he really shares his talent through his rap and singing. His rap flows well throughout the song, and honestly cannot be faulted in anyway.

The lyrics are dedicated to God and are very meaningful to him and his faith.

Eric’s hit is available across many streaming websites, and you should definitely give his music a listen to, especially if you ever find yourself in the same place as Eric was!

Milena Galasso – I’ll Be Gone

Milena Galasso is a London situated singer-songwriter, who has newly released her hit single “I’ll Be Gone.” Milena has had a love for music since a very young age, and says she “met my team at university and discovered new ways of songwriting in London.

All of Milena’s music is outstanding, as she takes old and current trends into consideration when writing. Not only does she cater for all styles, she also introduces her own Italian culture into the world of pop, creating a unique yet amazing sound!

From the moment I heard “I’ll Be Gone” I was pleasantly surprised with it. The song kicks off with warm vocals along with a beautifully crafted guitar piece. Her vocals from start to end are incredible as she sings with such heartfulness.

The two are later joined with other effective musical elements, such as a drumbeat. The drums hold the song together, as it gives the sound a bit more oomph. All of the instruments and Milena’s vocal cooperate so well, and together they have truly created a masterpiece.

You cannot go wrong with “I’ll Be Gone”, and you should undoubtedly give it a little listen to! I, myself, am curious to see what else Milena Galasso has in store for us!

TriPed – When U Were Mine

TriPed is a growing, independent artist, originating in London, UK. Throughout the last couple of years TriPed has released numerous singles, but I think his most recent one “When U Were Mine” is the best yet! His music takes inspiration from not only pop, but also R&B and dance.

“When U Were Mine” is a very 80s style disco and pop track. The song remains upbeat and catchy and is one of those songs that you will end up playing on repeat all day! The song welcomes us with a soft piano solo, which suddenly bursts into a bouncy and cheery beat with vocals. I personally love the musical beat in “When U Were Mine,” as it is slightly different to other hits that I enjoy, yet it is much more intriguing.

The vocals are just as great as the musical side, and they both work together exceptionally well! His distinctive vocals are kept low enough to ensure he does not overpower the thriving beat of the song.

After hearing TriPed’s track, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for other music of his. If you are fan of disco/pop, then I am certain you will love this song too!
