Anton Commissaris, a music composer, pianist, and vocalist, is a lover of music, but has always been an extreme sucker for jazz. Anton is based in San Francisco Bay Area and takes musical inspiration from artists such as Cole Porter and Antonio Carlos Jobim. However, his vocal style stems from inspiration from artists such as Frank Sinatra and Paul McCartney.
Today we are having a look at one of Anton’s most recent tracks, “She’s Not The Hurting Kind,” which is off the EP, “Off The Shelf.” After previously hearing another track from this EP, I was super excited to hear another one!
“She’s Not The Hurting Kind” is undoubtedly a swinging, jazz track. This one is quite laid back, yet the unusual drum pattern makes you bop your head along to the song. Anton has included a lot of jazz elements track to this song and although jazz is usually like marmite (you either love it or you hate it), somehow, he finds a way to create a song that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Anton’s vocals are incredibly good, as his voice is quite deep, it kinds of add a mysterious touch to the track.
Jazz fan or not, check out “She’s Not The Hurting Kind,” and I guarantee you will find yourself jamming along to it!
