Lee Miller Matsos – Life Force Lullaby

Lee Miller Matsos is a pop artist, who takes heavy influence from great musicians such as U2, Coldplay, Paul Simon, and Eric Clapton. Lee started his music career being a performer of opera and musical theatre when he was younger, however he has now moved away from this, and begun his own solo career.

Due to previously hearing another track of Lee’s, when I came across his newest single, “Life Force Lullaby,” I could not wait to see what masterpiece he had created this time! This song is an amazing pop hit, that is incredibly powerful! The beat begins off quite melodic, but then builds up to a more upbeat and dynamic sound. The drum beat in the later part of the song, really gets us moving, and is the kind of the track you will find singing your heart out to as drive down the motorway.

As always, Lee has hit the nail on the head with his fantastic vocals! As a male singer, he has an incredible range, which allows his voice to really impress us. His vocals have an extremely warming effect, which make the song so much better! The lyricism in this one is also amazing!

You must give this track of Lee’s a listen to, and I can guarantee you that you will love it just as much as I do!

Juliet Callahan – Ghost Girl

Juliet Callahan is a pop/rock singer-songwriter and producer, who has an extremely expressive and different sound. Juliet reaches out to get her listeners feeling uplifted, fierce, assertive, and even understood! She wants her music to go against ‘society’s expectations,’ and let people celebrate their individuality, no matter the judgement they may receive. Juliet’s passion for music has allowed her to create some amazing music, and today we are having a look at her most recent track, “Ghost Girl.”

“Ghost Girl” is Juliet’s fifth single, which has an edgy tone, with the inclusion of hip-hop and alternative-rock elements! One thing I can say about the singer is that she is not afraid to express herself or experiment with her sound!

From the moment I heard this song, I was in love with it! To begin with, Juliet’s vocals are out of this world! She has such a wide range and sings absolutely beautifully. However, although she has such a lovely voice, she is also very powerful in her tone.

The beat takes extreme influence from hip-hop styles and is incredibly catchy. This is the kind of sound that you will find yourself tapping your foot along to, whether you are a fan of it or not!

I cannot express enough how amazing Juliet’s “Ghost Girl” is! You must give this one a listen to, and it is available on Spotify now!

Imelda Gabs – Reckless

Imelda Gabs is one of those fantastic artists that keep pop music fresh, and never fails to amaze us with her experimental sounds! The young Belgian and Congolese artist grew up in Switzerland where she learned to play the piano, violin and how to sing.

Imelda begun her music career at a very early age, with her first ever live performance being at just the age of fourteen! She has had the chance to play with some amazing artists such as the organ legend Rhonda Scott, bass player Marcus Miller and even opened for the French singer Camélia Jordana.

Imelda has just released her newest single “Reckless” and it is the perfect euphoric, mellow pop track! The song is incredibly sombre with its sound, through the use of a piano and a violin. I think we can all agree that sometimes it is nice to take it down a notch and listen to a more melancholic sounding tune, where we can really appreciate it. For me, the music is perfect for this track, as it builds up to a strong, powerful climax full of emotion and soul.

Undoubtedly, Imelda’s vocalism is absolutely incredible! She sings some exceptionally high and long notes in this track, giving her voice reminiscence of an angel!

Imelda has even released a music video to accompany her song, and you can watch it on YouTube now!

Desarae Dee – Holiday Soul

Desarae Dee is a multi-instrumentalist, who specialises in keyboards, from Toronto. Since 2014, Desarae has made a massive impact on the Canadian music industry. She has even been labelled as “Toronto’s Queen Of Vibes”! Desarae has an unreal, meaningful sound, which she has progressed through her 20+ singles that she has dropped in the past 8 years! Now she is continuing her talents and rising her way up through the instrumentalist music industry.

If you find that instrumentals are your favourite, then read on to hear all about Desarae’s newest single “Holiday Soul,” which was released at the beginning of December, just in time for Christmas!

The issue people usually find with instrumentals is that they become boring, however this is one of those that definitely do not bore you in the slightest! With a heavy lead of a keyboard, the sound constantly switches up. The backbeat is maintained for the majority of the song, and this keeps the track flowing. Although this track is more of a relaxed tone, it is the kind of sound that makes you want to slowly move your body to.

Desarae’s talent is absolutely unreal! I personally cannot wait to see her and her music progress, as I just cannot get enough of her!

V Of 40M – PWR

All the way from Philadelphia, V Of 40M becomes the voice of the Black American revolution. He uses his sole genre, hip-hop, to help to get appreciation of his culture. The rising star is creating more and more music for us, and it just keeps getting better!

Today we are looking into his newest hit “PWR,” which he teamed up with artists Hippie G and 40m Tye. This hit is undoubtedly a fantastic drill/gangster rap song. Although this track may not be everybody’s usual cup of tea, the artists have done an exceptional job with it.

This song is full of rap, and I must say each verse we hear gets better and better. The way he raps is undoubtedly amazing. He has a deep voice, yet every word that is sung is so clear, which can sometimes be an issue in other rap music.

The hard basslines, and deep beats create that “gangster” effect, where it is obvious that the songsters are full of power!

If you find yourself a lover of this type of music, then this will undoubtedly be one of the best rap tracks that you have ever heard. So, make sure you do not miss out on it!

MDK FLA – Elixir Album

Let’s start this off with who is MDK FLA? Well, to answer that one, MDK FLA is a US based artist, otherwise known as Matthew Cobis. Now, the interesting thing about Matthew is that his music is one that you just cannot seem to categorise. This is due to one song being of hip-hop style, but then another being heavy metal. Every song is unique and has a combination of different genres, making his music so intriguing!

However, that is not all. MDK FLA is a new creation, that begun a few years ago, despite Matthew not having loads of musical knowledge to start off with. Therefore, instead of having your usual music lover from the age of five, you have an artist who started from nothing. Despite this factor, the music that he has created is actually amazing, and cannot be faulted!

Today we are looking into MDK FLA’s most recent album drop, “Elixir,” and I have to say it is a fantastic way for Matthew to end the year! The album includes ten different tracks, that possess elements of electronic-pop, rock, hip-hop and even some metal!

The first track of the album, ‘You Better Run’ is a wonderful way to kick off the album, with a dance/electronic created feel to it. This song ultimately raises your spirits and has you eager to hear what else MDK FLA have in store for us in this album!

The music definitely fits under the dream-pop/electronic style, yet each song hits us with a different surprise! For example, track number seven, ‘Sell Out,’ includes a more rock feel. This song has a harsh beat with an obvious use of an electric guitar, which takes the music away from the dance side of things and pushes it towards Matthew’s edgy side.

For me, I love every single track on this album, but my, just about, favourite has got to be ‘True Accord.’ This one has heavy influence of hip-hop, with a portion of rock too! These vocals are also more of rap like, and I personally have not been able to stop listening to it since I heard it!

Ultimately, this album is just FANTASTIC! This has got to be one of the most interesting collection of songs I have ever heard, and I honestly cannot recommend MDK FLA enough! Give him a little listen to and you will undoubtedly love him!

Track Listing:

1) You Better Run

2) Triple Threat

3) Revelation

4) Beacon

5) Witches Of Arafel

6) True Accord

7) Short Shrift

8) Sell Out

The Official 4PM – Some Of The Time

The Official 4PM are a reincarnated band, that have been together ever since 1991. Back in the 1990s, they were known as “4pm” which was an acronym for “For Positive Music”.

“4pm” were signed by a record label, and they released singles, albums and toured across the world. In 2020 the band gained contact with each other and decided to start renovating and creating new music. They are now creating a new album, “A Song For Everyone” which will feature their newest single “Some Of The Time” that was released on December 16th.

“Some Of The Time” is the perfect R&B, soul hit, that is full of amazing beats, melodies, and vocals. The track is upbeat, and has a strong rhythm to it, that is the kind to get you up and dancing around to it. I personally absolutely love this song and have not stopped playing it since hearing it!

The vocals in “Some Of The Time” are fantastic and you just fall in love them with the second you hear it. All the vocals are smooth and are honestly so sweeting-sounding and melodic. I cannot fault this song one bit, and I am so excited to hear what else the new and improved band have in store!

If you are yet to hear this track, definitely give it a little listen to. The track and its music video will all be released on the 16th of December, and I know for a fact you will love it just as much as I do!

Ainsley Costello – Cherry On Top

Ainsley Costello has always had a passion for music, with her first ever performance being when she was just 7 years old in school talent shows and musical theatre productions. This then led to Ainsley attending a music college and between the years 2017 and 2020, she performed over one hundred engagements in Washington. Ainsley’s music is now heavily influenced by artists like Hayley Williams, Taylor Swift, and Tori Kelly. Although she is a very young, fresh artist, she has extreme power and definitely is full of potential.

Today we are looking at Ainsley’s newest single, “Cherry On Top.” This track undoubtedly is more on the alternative/rock-pop side of music. Usually, I am not a massive fan of this kind of genre, however Ainsley has done so well with this song, and even I love it!

Her vocals in this track are exceptional, as she sings with such power and force. Ainsley’s voice is incredible, especially for such a young vocalist, and I cannot wait to see how her voice progresses in her music.

The musical side of this song is also very interesting. Ainsley has created a full-band sound with guitars and drums. I don’t know about you guys, but I personally love to take a break from that electronically created sound and listen to proper instrumentalists.

Anyways, this track is fantastic! That is all I really need to say.

Alex Zethson – Room With A View

Alex Zethson is a Swedish pianist, who usually goes as a solo artist. Although Alex has previously played in bands with people such as Sevn Wunder and Mariam The Believer, today’s track is a solo hit called “Room With A View.”

“Room With A View” is an incredible country yet jazz like track. This is one of those songs that completely and utterly transform you, to a point where you feel like you have entered another universe! This track has an amazingly peaceful tone to it and is the kind of track that you can just sit back, close your eyes, and enjoy.

The talent in this one is astonishing! With the fantastic musical skills, and the appearances of acoustics, melodic chords and even solos, you will find yourself loving the journey that Alex takes us on with this instrumental. It is clear from “Room With A View” that Alex wants to share his musical passion with his listeners.

Despite being a fan of instrumentals or not, this is one of those that everybody of all ages needs to hear! Let Alex take you away from reality for five minutes and soak up the peacefulness!

Justin Tibbs – A Funky Nightmare

Justin Tibbs is an incredible multi-genre musician, who specialises in his saxophone playing. Originally from Akron, Ohio, Justin has already had the opportunity to perform with numerous musicians like The Brothers’ Band, New Wave Nation, Red House, and Angie Haze. Justin is also the leader of the group JT’s Electric Blackout and JT’s Spark Trio.

Today we are looking at one of Justin’s most recent hits, from his new album, called “A Funky Nightmare.” This track of Justin’s is an instrumental (yes that means there are no vocals), however this one is incredibly intriguing. With Justin’s saxophone playing being the star of the show, we get to really witness his talents. I personally love to hear something a little bit different compared to the modern-day music, like rap and R&B, and instead get to hear this true masterpiece!

With other instruments in the background, we get a feeling of positivity stem from this tune, especially with the bouncy drums in the back. This track is honestly just nearly five minutes of pure talent, and you will find yourself engrossed within the music!

Justin’s talents definitely deserve recognition, so check out his music here!
