5ON5 – Balloon

5ON5 has just released a new track “Balloon” and I cannot wait for you guys to hear this one!

5ON5 are a young music band from Berlin and they consist of four different artists. The artists range in generation and backgrounds, and together they have teamed up to create some amazing music! Their songs are unique, yet incredible, and are incredibly fresh!

“Balloon” is 5ON5’s newest song, and it was released at the beginning of 2023. 5ON5 have also made a music video to accompany this song!

This track is an electric synth-pop one and is honestly just full of pure vibes and energy! The song kicks off with a distorted sound, straight away grabbing our attention. This then progresses to a steady beat that is incredibly catchy. The beat in this is one that will undoubtedly get you grooving along!

I must say, I am a massive fan of the vocals in “Balloon”. The vocals are male, and the presentation of the vocals is so powerful! As mentioned before, there is a distorted sound in the song, and this applies in the vocals, and the effect these vocals have are unreal, it feels like we are in another dimension!

Whether you class yourself as an electro-pop fan or not, you need to give this song a listen to!

Raynald Grenier – Doux Instants

Raynald Grenier is an artist and composer, who began his music career decades ago in the 1980s. Raynald spent years performing with musical groups in places across the United States, Canada and Europe. However, Raynald has now taken a step away from that side of things and is now working on his own musical creations and compositions. Raynald takes heavy inspiration from incredible artists like Mozart, Beethoven and Mahler.

Raynald has just released a new, amazing, and beautiful piece called “Doux Instants”. This piece was released in December 2022 and has already got lots of attention.

“Doux Instants” is a piano-led song, that is lovely to hear. Listening to it makes you relax and really appreciate the world around you. The piece is perfect for something like a ballet or an opera and it must be heard. The song is just over five minutes long and for every part of it you will be gripped!

I do not tend to go for these kind of songs, however as soon as I heard “Doux Instants” I was mesmerised! Especially if you find yourself a fan of this kind cinematic, classical sound, you should give the piece a little listen to!

Veeraj The Artiste – Obeah

Veeraj The Artiste have just released a new single, “Obeah” and I have to say it is a fantastic track. “Obeah” is a reggae, upbeat track, that is from another country. Even if you do not enjoy multi-cultural music, you must give “Obeah” a listen to!

“Obeah” is a kind of sorcery that is practiced in the Caribbean and this song seems to include that meaning in it.

It is undoubtable that the vibes and the energy in this track are amazing! Ever since I first heard this song, I have not stopped humming it. This is the perfect track to dance along to and it will definitely raise your spirits. The reggae beat is different, and the vocals are mesmerising!

Ultimately, o and give “Obeah” by Veeraj The Artiste a listen to and you will find yourself completely hooked like I am! I cannot wait to see what else this artist has for us!

There is even a music video to accompany this track, which is also worth the watch!

Bromsen – The Photograph

Although I do not usually review this kind of synth indie-rock, when I came across this one, I knew straight away I had to!

Bromsen are a German electro, indie duo who have previously had a musical career back at the beginning of the 2000s. After some time apart, the duo has reunited and started to create tracks full of surprises!

“The Photograph” is Bromsen’s most recent release, and it is so interesting! The thing I love most about this tune is the different elements of rock, indie, pop and electronics! The synth bassline keeps us hooked, and the steady beat just makes us want to dance along! There is also a guitar solo included which is just fantastic!

Not only is the music full of energy, the vocals also are too! The male vocals are one that you will love, and the way they are expressed is amazing!

Similarly, to me, you might be sitting there thinking, oh this is not a bit for me, but I promise with one listen you will be in love and will never want to turn off the song! Check out “The Photograph” on Spotify now and become a lover of Bromsen!

Heistheartist – Caught Out There

Who is Heistheartist? He is an American Christian singer/songwriter, who is originally from Central Islip in New York. He was previously signed by “Bentley Records” as a neo-soul artist, however this was under his birth name, LeeMann Bassey. Heistheartist is now inspired to teach the world about the Lord and started a new musical journey with this attitude.

“Caught Out There” is his most recent single that has literally only just dropped! This is an acoustic track and I personally love it!

The song starts off strong with lovely pianos, and the music is just absolutely beautiful! One thing I love about songs like this is that as the music is more laid-back, we are able to really focus on the vocals and the meaning of the lyrics!

Heistheartist is the main vocals in this track, and he sings with such passion and love. However, there are also female backing vocals included in the song, which really compliment his voice, and make the song even better!

I truly think Heistheartist has so much potential, and I cannot wait to hear what is to come of the soul singer! Check out “Caught Out There” across multiple music platforms now!

Mark Winters – Copper Queen

This review is all about Mark Winters and his release “Copper Queen.”

To kick this off, let’s talk about who Mark Winters is. Well, Mark Winters is someone who, although has a degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, decided to take on a new path of music later in life. He first discovered his love for music when he picked up his first guitar to play a song for his wife. From this moment, he learnt to love music and wanted to connect with others through his music.

“Copper Queen” is a track by Mark that was released a few years back. The track is an acoustic soft-rock and has already had over 200,000 streams on Spotify!

The song is incredibly beautiful, with a nice strumming guitar taking the lead. The guitar gives off a sweet sound and is one that you will not have any issues with whilst listening to it! There is also a guitar solo included towards the end of the song and I have to say he has done exceptionally well with it!

Mark has lovely vocals, and it is so nice hearing his voice in this track. His voice has a very wide range, and honestly the way he sings so softly, just engrosses us.

Give Mark Winters and his track “Copper Queen” a listen to and let him get the recognition he deserves!

hyyypnos – QUESTIONS EP

EP’s are something I love listening to, as they enable us to find out more about the artist and their music! Today’s EP is a new drop, that was released in December last year, by the American artist hyyypnos, called “QUESTIONS”. The interesting thing about this EP is that it consists of five different songs, each one having a title of a different question. From the moment I heard this EP, I though yes, just yes!

Every single track in the collection has its own specialties, however they all have elements of electro-pop and alternative-pop, which seems to be a large focus right now! The overall sound is very mysterious and has aspects of distortion included. However, the music will just draw you in, and the basslines will get you mesmerised!

As I said previously, each song asks a question. The idea of these questions, connect us on a more emotional level. The lyrical set up has deeper meanings, and hyyypnos uses these songs to ask the questions he has always thought about. It is undoubtable that his vocals in this are amazing! Every track is full of fantastic vocals, usually quite laid-back, and I honestly just love his voice!

This is one of those collections, where picking your favourite track seems almost impossible! For me, I love every single track, however my favourite one of the selection has got to be the third song, “didn’t I?”. This one is only two minutes long, however it has a deep bassline that hooks you, and will get you moving your body along to the beat. Hyyypnos’ vocals are fairly quiet and relaxed, however you can really hear his talent in this track. One listen and I guarantee you will not be able to turn the song off!

Ultimately, just give hyyypnos’ “QUESTIONS” a listen to and you will definitely not be disappointed! You can find the EP on Spotify and other music platforms now!

Terry Blade – Ethos

Calling all acoustic, folk fans! Terry Blade has just dropped a new alt-country/folk album, “Ethos”!

Terry Blade is a LGBTQ+ artist, who is very open and diverse in creating music. Originally from Chicago, Terry, has built up a massive following and seems to be loved by everyone! He is heavily inspired by musicians like Isaac Hayes, Gill Scott-Heron and Will Downing, and uses these artists to create his own amazing music! So far in his career Terry has won over 40 awards, such as ‘Best Folk Song’ for Clouzine’s Magazine and has also been featured by multiple publications. These publications include Country Queer, Indie Top 39, and Adobe & Teardrops. “Ethos” was released at the beginning of 2023 and has already left such an impact!

“Ethos” is an album full of ten different tracks, including a more popular hit that Terry has already released, “Won’t Be Around”. Every song on this album has its own amazing qualities and I cannot fault anyone of them!

The collection kicks off with a beautiful, acoustic tune, “Come Home”. This song is led by a guitar and has some amazing, country sounding vocals too! I think it is a lovely way to ease us into the album and I absolutely love the track!

My favourite one has to be the fifth song in the album, “Talk About It”. This is a beautiful, and more laid-back track compared to the others. The guitar, as always, is sweet sounding, with some beautiful chords and riffs. In this song especially, we really get to hear Terry’s talent in his vocals. He sings this track incredibly powerfully, and we hear a sense of emotion in his voice. What a like about Terry is that he always sings so purely and just completely wraps us up in his voice.

Additionally, track number nine, “Jimmy James” is a teamwork creation. Terry has worked with Lance Conrad to create this song and I love it! This song, again, is very emotional and soft, yet the vocals will almost warm you.

One thing about Terry’s music is that he stops that alone feeling, and you are really able to connect with him. No matter what, I cannot describe to you how amazing Terry and his album is, so you must take matters into your own hands and give it a listen to. Especially if you find yourself to be a lover of this type of music, then you will soon be completely in love with Terry!

MOCC – War Tapes: 1942

Today’s review is definitely an interesting one, as we take a look at the artist MOCC and their most recent album “War Tapes: 1942”. First of all, let’s kick this off with who is MOCC? Well, MOCC is a hip-hop artist, who experiments with multiple different genres. He is originally from Nashville, Tennessee, and otherwise known as Ryan Hadley. MOCC released “War Tapes: 1942” at the beginning of this year, and blimey I love it!

This album includes eight amazing tracks, and is so unique and different, with everyone song relating to the war. MOCC has created an album full of rap-rock and hip-hop. The album being based on the war, really grabs our attention as he raps about important topics, yet it is presented in an incredible musical way.

Track three, “War Face” begins with a Commander preparing their team for battle, asking to see their war face. This gives us a little insight to what life was like. This song then progresses into a catchy beat with some incredible rapping. I really like this track and it’s peculiarness.

Every song in this collection has its own qualities and you will honestly find it so difficult to pick our your preferred one out of them all. “Artillery” is one that caught my attention straight away with its opening news speech. This song then turns into a great, mesmerising bassline and is one that will get you bopping your head to. Once again MOCC does fantastic with his rapping. I think he has so much potential, and I cannot wait to see how his career progresses and get him to receive the credit he deserves.

The album ends on a one-minute track called “Fall out”. This is completely different compared to the rest of the album. It is a piano-led song that vocals are not included in. It is a sweet and thoughtful way to end the collection.

I cannot express enough how much you need to listen to this album, especially if you are a fan of rap! The whole album is available on Spotify now and is definitely worth the listen! MOCC has once again hit the nail on the head with this one!

Juliet Callahan – Spotlight

Juliet Callahan is a Los Angeles based alternative-pop singer-songwriter, producer and audio engineer! Juliet is progressing as a musician, and I honestly cannot wait to see what other music she has to release in the future!

“Spotlight” is Juliet’s 6th release, however this is her first ever track to be completely produced, and written by herself! She created this upbeat track with an element of power and strength. Juliet has previously said herself that she wants this track to be one that makes people embrace and love themselves, and this is something that is quite common in her music!

“Spotlight” is a short, two-minute pop track, and I am such a fan of this one! After previously reviewing another great song by Juliet, when I stumbled upon this one, I was super excited to see what she has done!

The beat in this song is not too hard, but it still has a very catchy tone to it. This is the kind of song that you will have stuck in your head all day and will just listen to on repeat! It is undeniable that Juliet has done an amazing job with her first ever produced track!

As always, Juliet’s vocals are fantastic! She sings with such strength, and her voice is just beautiful! Her lovely vocals warm us, yet also somewhat empower us!

Go and give “Spotlight” a listen to and let us know what you think of it!
