Fat Cat Affair – I Wonder

Now Fat Cat Affair is an artist that I absolutely love, as his take on music is just super interesting! Fat Cat Affair is actually a European artist, who takes on the cat look to conceal his real appearance! He spent many years travelling, searching for the right place for him to settle down in. However, his musical career begun whilst he was touring Paris, and he came across an old piano and a drum kit that was made out of lids and paint pots!

Today we are looking at Fat Cat Affair’s most recent single, “I Wonder” and I have to say it is purr-fect! “I Wonder” was released at the beginning of this year and for this one he has teamed up with Costie Payne! The track is very groovy and super catchy as it’s blues and funk style are just insane!

The beat gives us quite a relaxed and laid-back feeling, yet the instruments included also manage to get you engrossed within the song! For me, this is one of the best songs that I have heard in a very long time, and it is undoubtable that Fat Cat Affair has done an exceptional job with this one!

As always, the vocals in “I Wonder” are superb and even give me reminders of amazing artists like Michael Bublé!

The song is one that needs to be heard by literally everyone!

Jazzygold – Boring Like Me

“Boring Like Me” is an awesome track, by jazzygold, that was released just last month! With jazzygold being a fresh, new artist, her new track has not quite received the credit it deserves, however she is an artist that you can tell is going places in the foreseeable future!

“Boring Like Me” is the perfect pop track that even has a little music video to accompany it (which is available on YouTube)! The song is quite catchy and is one that will get you tapping your foot along to it. The music is very interesting and includes some cool synths and beats!

After hearing this song for the first time, I was shocked at how amazing jazzygold’s vocals actually are! She is the perfect match for a pop/R&B song, as her voice is soft, yet incredibly engrossing!

Leif Riggs – Phantom

For today’s review we will be looking into Leif Riggs and his newest track, “Phantom”, which was released earlier this year! “Phantom” is a hip-hop track that was produced by InsaneBeatz, and I have to say it is just amazing!

The track is a very hip-hop and rap style song, so if you find yourself to be fan of either of these, then keep reading, and definitely give it a listen to! “Phantom” is exceptionally catchy, and will undoubtedly have you bopping your head along to it! The beat is hard, and very consistent, and it just goes perfectly with Leif Rigg’s rapping!

As a fan of rap, I can tell you this has got to be one of the best that I have heard! Riggs has a great style of rap, which is more of spoken-word style, and I just cannot get enough of it! His rap is clear and definitely contagious, which is unlike other rap artists that are around today!

Eddie Meyer X Joe Kenney – Elevate/Activate

Eddie Meyer is a fantastic, rising artist who has decided to team up with Joe Kenney to create the brilliant track, “Elevate/Activate”.

“Elevate/Activate” has some really interesting musical elements in it, with a combination of different genres too! The song is funky and is definitely one you can groove along to at times! The music is one that will get you feeling positive and almost actually ‘elevate’ you.

Although I am not usually a fan of instrumentals, as they are not really my cup of tea, Eddie and Joe completely turn my head with this one! I found myself engrossed in the music for the whole duration of the song, which is unusual for me, especially being nearly five minutes long!

The track is very heavily piano-based, and honestly its sound is just beautiful! Starting off with that groovy effect like I explained earlier, and then progressing onto a more relaxed, soulful sound! The combination of the two types of music actually fit together really well and I cannot fault either of the artists!

Go and give “Elevate/Activate” a little listen to and I can assure you will not be disappointed!

The musical side of this song will really keep you engrossed within its sound, and if you find yourself to be a fan of rap-rock, then this track is perfect for you!

The vocalism in this song is also just as amazing! There is some singing, some rap and even some distorted vocals! The song will never make you bored, and each and every type of vocals sounds amazing!

Although this song is longer than others, being over six minutes long, I cannot describe how interesting and great it actually is, so be sure to give “Rawk On” a little listen to and see for yourself!

Sharl, who is based in Melbourne, Australia, is a growing music artist, who has recently decided to take the solo path! Although some of her talents have already been recognised, with her reaching the semi-finals in the International Song writing Competition and her album being featured in many different articles, Sharl definitely deserves more credit for her music!

“Mirror” is a pop track, that kicks off with a little distorted introduction. This then progresses into an amazing upbeat, funky track! It is undeniable that this song is full of great vibes and will definitely get you in a good mood dancing along!

Savoy Ellis – Don’t Break My Heart/The One (Sped Up)

Coming from a very musical-based family, Savoy Ellis inherited a passion for jazz and blues. By the age of four, Savoy had already mastered being a gospel vocalist, and this then progressed into a musical career as a music producer.

Kejcz – Set Me Free

Kejcz is a Polish musician, who composes his own music! Kejcz has been working hard on his music, and has released a new hit in February called “Set Me Free”.

For “Set Me Free” Kejcz has collaborated with Sequelachi and Basia Kolasa, and I must say that they have done an exceptional job together!

“Set Me Free” is an electronic pop hit, that is super catchy and super amazing! The song kicks off quite hard with an interesting, dance beat, that is accompanied with some fantastic vocals! The music remains incredibly upbeat for the duration of the song, and I could definitely picture song being played in a nightclub when partying with your friends.

There are multiple different beautiful vocals that are included in this song, and I have to say each one has its own specialities. Together the artists create a masterpiece that you just cannot seem to get out of your head!

Kejcz and his song, “Set Me Free” has got to be one of the best tracks that I have listened to from the electronic, dance pop genre. “Set Me Free” can be streamed across multiple music platforms, so make sure you do not miss out!
