Big O has just released his new album, “When It’s Not Said, But Done” and this is definitely one you have got to hear.
Big O, otherwise known as Orlando Turner, is an American hip-hop artist, producer, and DJ. He has been making his own beats since the age of 13 and has now become a very talent music engineer.
“When It’s Not Said, But Done” clocks in at fifteen tracks, all which are amazing.
Kicking it off we have, “From The Ashes (Rebirth)”. This is a short ambient piece which draws you in quickly. We can almost feel the rise, and ‘rebirth’ through the music that Big O has presented.
Second, we have, “M!dnight Ryde”, a smooth, laid back feel. With catchy synth beats, and a strong back beat, this track will undoubtedly have you grooving along.
Next up is, “What’s In This World”. This a much more mellow, and soul feeling tune, which will undoubtedly draw you in further. With, yet again, another catchy beat, you will ultimately find yourself nodding along to this one.
Fourth on the album we have, “Sounds Of Broken Pieces”. This one has got to be one of my personal favourites, full of textured sounds that fit the idea of ‘sounds of broken pieces’.
Then its, “A Bit Of Hope”. This is the turning point of the collection, where we witness a shift in mood, as we turn to a more positive feel. With vibrant chords and a groovy beat, this is one that you will enjoy.
We then move onto, “Still Standing”. A funky, and powerful tune, following the mood shift. The idea of the track being titled, “Still Standing” shows strength and how we can move on in life.
Up next is, “New Found Joy”. This track takes a slight step back from the catchy, joyful tones, but it still presents ideas of peace and ease.
Eighth on the list is, “Free Spirit”. A soft, peaceful tune, which just gives you the incentive to sit back and breathe.
“Walking Into The Next Week” is a collaboration with Jeronimo G, and it definitely is a good one. With the use of a xylophone, it allows freedom, but enjoyment too.
For track number ten its, “A Better (Me)”. This is a jazzy, soul tune with beautiful saxophones elements. Another track which I know you will all love and enjoy.
Next it is, “Relaxing My Emotions”, and this track does exactly that!
Then onto, “Til My Time Comes”, a slightly darker, more ambient track, which instantly draws you back in again.
“A Peace Of Mind” a groovy, bass track that will certainly have you bopping along.
Then for the penultimate track it is, “In The History Books”. A steady tune that gives off a sense of the end. Where everything has worked out and we finally reach that light.
A finally it is, “Bigrodamous’s Closing Theme”. A cinematic and reflective way to end the journey. It leaves you feeling complete.
“When It’s Not Said, But Done” by Big O, is an insane musical piece, which takes you on a journey through its sounds. This track is the definition of music, the way the story is told, without words, is just beautiful. So, be sure to give a listen to now!
