Today we are looking at a new album by Kevin Honold and this one is called, “The Forge”.
Kevin Honold is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who is undeniably talented. His new album consists of nine different tracks, all which were written between 2019-2021. Kevin went through a tough time, with surgeries which resulted in a lack of mobility in shoulders, and this was really the turning point in his career. He was unable to play his guitar, and as he recovered, he decided to lunge into his music. The album was written through the tough times of COVID-19, and his own personal struggles too. This makes this album one that is personal, relatable and most of all heartfelt.
Kicking off the album we have the title track, “The Forge”. This is a perfect, and stunning way to introduce the collection. The soft, acoustic track is captivating, and the strumming guitar is one that is just beautiful. This track is a great introduction, and you’ll be left eager to hear more of Kevin.
A track that really stood out to me was, “Rainy Day”. The music is this one is just unbelievable, it is catchy, it is unique and most of all, it is talented. The music will have you swaying along, and Kevin’s stunning vocals will have you mesmerised.
Another track that I personally loved was, “Me”. This is another beautiful, soft-rock tune that will have you hooked. The guitar riffs, and vibrant drumbeat are the foundation of this song. In terms of vocals, Kevin’s talent really shines through in this one. He has a very unique, and skilful voice. He has a wide vocal range, and the way he manipulates his voice to fit a style of song is just unreal.
And finally, to finish the album we have, “Forgivable”, which is, of course, another great hit.
The entire album is one that needs to be heard. So, what are you waiting for? Give Kevin Honold the love and support that he deserves for his new collection, “The Forge” now!
