Jini Loves Jacko is a fairly new artist, and they have just released their brand-new album, “Songs About My Cat”. This album consists of nine different tracks, and included in this is many collaborations, making every song unique.
Kicking off the album we have, “Damn”. This track is an upbeat, pop tune, one that will give you early 2000s vibes. The music is catchy and contagious, and I can assure you will not be able to resist dancing along. However, not only is the music brilliant, but the vocals are too. The vocalist has a fiery voice, where we hear her singing normally and in a distorted tone, which just intrigues us.
One hit that really caught my eye was “Fine Fine”. This track has a swinging tune to it, and you just cannot help but groove along. The beat is different, and actually has elements of rock, pop and even reggae. The male vocals are a brilliant addition to this one, as he sings in a call and response way. Both vocalists are undoubtedly talented, and their voices have so much potential.
Another track that I thoroughly enjoyed was, “Our Little Prayer”. This track is a melodic, piano-led track, and it is just amazing. Due to most of the other songs being quite energetic, this little break is just beautiful. The vocalist in this one really shines, as his voice is presented in a powerful and emotional way.
Closing the album we have, “Good Night”. This track begins off quite delicately, with gorgeous music and gorgeous vocals. It does pick up as the track progresses, however there is a lot of emotion in this one. This is the perfect ending, as it allows us to reflect on the album, and you will probably find yourself wanting more.
Jini Loves Jacko has done an exceptional job with this album, where we experience a rollercoaster of emotions and where every single song has its own qualities. “Songs About My Cat” is not one to be missed out on so be sure to check it out now!
