Jeyênne is the face behind XPQ-21, and he is a mastermind, producer and singer! Jeyênne first appeared in the 90s as a techno/rave artist, getting the chance to tour with Prodigy and Moby! After this he toured for a decade across Europe and the USA, then eventually retiring to open his own music school in Germany. Now, over the last couple of years he has released some more music and I must say, he is still just as amazing!
Today’s review will be on his newest release, “Temptation” of which there is two versions, one being the “Korgen Aamat Version”. This, as always, is a very techno tune, with clear inspiration from the 90s, possibly reflecting his old music onto his new! The upbeat sound enables that dance feel, and one I could definitely imagine being played in a rave!
Although the beat is amazing, XPQ-21 also adds some intriguing sounds within the track, some that almost feel astrological, but some that feel very urban! For me, these added synths and beats, engross the listener even more!
The male vocals are quite robotic, yet they are perfect for this track and in fact are quite interesting!
If you find yourself to be a techno/rave fan, then go and give XPQ-21’s “Temptation” a listen to!
