Daddy Drwg – A Tree Called Happy Album Review

Daddy Drwg has just released a brand-new album titled, “A Tree Called Happy” and I cannot wait to share it with you all. However, before we get onto it, let’s have a little look at who Daddy Drwg is.

Daddy Drwg is actually Welsh for Bad Daddy, and he is a singer-songwriter. He is quite new to the music scene, however there is no denying that he is absolutely smashing it.

His new album consists of ten different tracks, and kicking it off we have, “I’m Your Waste Of Time”. This tune is actually inspired by true events, where Daddy Dwrg found himself being stalked for two years before the stalker was caught. Some people may compare this track to the new series Baby Reindeer, and has actually been named the song form of the TV series. The track itself is actually very upbeat, and quite intense too. The drumbeat in this one, is one you will find yourself bopping your head to. This rock style tune tells the story of a stalker, and despite the meaning, you will still find the track enjoyable.

One track that really caught my eye was, “Domino”. This one starts with a brilliant guitar sound, which soon builds to another fantastic song. Daddy Drwg has a very unique voice, it’s quite deep and mysterious, but on the other hand he can reach some exceptional notes too.

“Lean On Me” is another track that I love, as the music in this one is just WOW! The guitars are definitely the highlight of this one, as their electrifying sound will have you hooked.

And to finish the album we have, “While The Cat’s Away”. This is a brilliant ending to a brilliant album. The music intro in this one is just mesmerising, and its more melodic tone will have you in your feels.

“A Tree Called Happy” is a fantastic album all round that needs to be heard. I cannot put into words how brilliant it is, so be sure to check it out for yourself now!
